Songs sung in our favourite TV show cover a very wide range of themes. We’ve had songs about falling in love, songs about falling out of love, and songs about how we need to take care of the thongs we love.
Occasionally, we get darker subjects. They may not get the laughs but still deserve to be listened to. The song from today’s birthday boy András Kállay-Saunders should be commended for broaching this subject, and doing so in a very mature manner. In Copenhagen, he got an easy passage through to the Grand Final and yielded Hungary’s second-best result ever. András has tried since, obviously to do better than his countrywoman Friderika Bayer, but that won’t happen until the Magyars embrace Eurovision again.
András is 38 today.
Boldog születésnapot, András!
