Our friends in Cyprus try hard. Who would love to go to Afrodite’s Isle for two weeks of sun-drenched Eurovision madness? Me for one. So I always pay special attention to what they’re putting forward. I was devastated last year when they took a year off. But luckily for us all Cyprus has come back. So when Nikolas Metaxas came second, they asked his sister Christina to sing their song. He’d written it of course so the pedigree was there. And the song was a favourite here in Riigi Towers. Christina is 23 today.
