Sometimes songs are given the status of favourites for no apparent reason. Take 2014 for instance, Conchita of the sausage was up there due to her Zeitgeisty nature. Sweden was up there too, as they’d sent a seasoned professional who’d been trying for years to get onto that Eurovision stage. And then you had Armenia. Now it was a decent enough song that is slightly different. But I could never understand why it was tipped to do so well. Nevertheless Արամ Սարգսյան/Aram Sargsyan, also known as Aram MP3 did justify this and finished fourth. Aram is 31 today.
