Eurovision birthdays 8/11 – Light in the window

Do you ever pay attention to debut entries? Who thought ‘My Star’ by Brainstorm was the best thing ever? Or that ‘Kinek mondjam el vétkeimet’ should have won in 1994? We sometimes forget that every established country would have debuted sometime, and our lovely Finnish friends are no exception. It was back in 1961 and was sung by Laura ‘Laila’ Annikki Kinnunen. Laila died in 2000 but would have been 75 today.
