Eurovision royalty today – allegedly. Who’d have thought that when Maureen Lipman introduced her onto the MF stage in 1983 (yes, 31 years ago) that little Carola Maria Häggkvist would come back several times. She’d beat a better song into ‘second’ place in 1991, and then come back yet again in 2006 with flags and details of her very own camp. Carola is 48 today.
