Happy pretty way, happy shiny day

It’s difficult to forget that the Eurovision travelling roadshow will be pitching up in Lisbon‘s fair city next May. As you’ll know, it’s never been there before so isn’t quite sure what to expect. As for the Portuguese, they’ve been in it since 1785 and until Salvador’s beautiful win they hadn’t even had a top five placing. Even getting out of semi-finals was never a certainty.

So as we’re having a break from birthdays, I’ve picked this little gem from the 21st Century which was one of the Lusophone nation’s less successful attempts. I’m not sure why. It had singers to cater for all tastes, a slick dance routine, and some less-than-static backing singers. What was not to like?
