There’s a word I want to use today, as today’s song reminds me of it. It might feature in this article, or I might save it for another time.
Our friends in Bulgaria took a while to find their way. In their first nine participations, they only made it to the Grand Final once. They since managed three times in a row. But that first Grand Final appearance [orgasm], they only went and finished fifth. It was a duet between Elitsa Todorova and today’s birthday boy Стоян Янкулов/Stoyan Yankoulov. He’s the less vocal one who likes drumming more, leaving all the wailing to Elitsa. Stoyan also popped up as part of his country’s last entry (to date). But you could say he and Elitsa were trailblazers.
Stoyan is 58 today.
