It’s duet day today at the Café Oneurope, so here’s one that’s an interesting tune. Our friends in Slovakia (please come back) have never really ‘got’ Eurovision. They try, but haven’t always come up with that killer hook or outlandishly-memorable dance routine. They seem to do dignity better, or a we-like-this-but-we-don’t-care sort of attitude.
Today’s birthday boy Kamil Mikulčík did his stuff in Moscow with his pal Nela Pocisková. It was a nicely brave effort, but may not have really found the right audience with their brand of downbeat jazzy harmonies. Unless you were from Albania, Ukraine or Ireland.
Kamil is 40 today.
Šťastné narodeniny, Kamil!
