What’s your definition of a good songwriter? Are you more a fan of Karen Kavaleryen, Søren Bundgaard or DJ BE$$? They often get forgotten in the scheme of things, in favour of that performer who wears an exploded parrot about their person, or the helium-filled balloon. So it’s always good when a songwriter gets the credit they deserve, and that’s usually by writing by singing a song what they wrote. This was the case in 1986, where a Swedish contender for Mr Eurovision – Lars-Eric Gustav “Lasse” Holm – decided he’d had enough of other people singing his songs, and teamed up with Monika Törnell.
Lasse is 73 today.
Grattis på födelsedagen, Lasse!
