Apologies, dear reader, for not posting yesterday. I was at an urgent mercy dash helping Kristjan Kasearu. Doing what, I cannot say, apart from he’s now got his mojo back. And today I’ve got one of those gems of a song from the 1970s. As I always say, never forget your history, as there were contests before 2002. In those heady days, many songs charted all over Europe, even in the UK. Maybe not always at Number One, but often amassing big sales. Such was the song from the United Kingdom of Stuff in 1972. The home entry was a great standalone song that finished second – again. Evelyn May Beatson (the brunette in blue) was one of those ‘New’ Seekers. Eve is 72 today.
