Mr Eurovision. It’s a term that lots of people claim. Perhaps each country has their own Mr Eurovision. I can think of several, and some of them are even performers. But what makes a good Mr (or indeed Mrs/Miss) Eurovision? A solid performer? A writer? A host? All three? Or are there more qualities? Our friends in Germany have a couple of contenders for this role. One of them seems to be not wanted in Germany to peddles his wares around various less successful nations. The other one, however, is a different kettle of cats. He’s written, performed, conducted, hosted and mentored. One of his charges even won! No, it’s not Ralph Siegel, it’s some you need to put your patsche hands together for Stefan Raab. Stefan is 49 today.
