We’ve not had a south-western European birthday for a while (darn that Scandi-Balkan alliance). So it’s about time we hit sunny Spain. Today’s birthday girl María Isabel Lucía Lineros Rodríguez had a very Spanish song very full of tempestuousness (I like that word). She was in a pocket-sized contest in a pocket-sized town somewhere in England. She had a nice little stage and big multi-storey orchestra. And a shawl. Lucía is 51 today.
