So this is my column and I can make the rules. That’s agreed, right? So if I want to show a video that’s not from a Eurovision Song Contest, I can do that, right? Well, I know I might have the backing of Mr Phil on today’s choice anyway, so yah-boo to you of you don’t agree! Just for once, I’ve picked a video that’s from a national final. Why, you may ask? Well, this song comes from Kaliopi Bukle (formerly Grill) almost made it to the fest in Oslo in 1996. As you may know, the jurors only heard the songs in the pre-selection for that year. Had they seen her, I’m positive that she would have been there in place of one of the songs that made it. Kaliopi is 49 today.
