The Dutch have had a good run lately. No finalists since 2005, and then two in a row. As you’ll see from my review, I sadly don’t think they’ll make it three in a row. But back in those heady days of 2013 Anouk Teeuwe surprised us all and not only made it to the Saturday night, but came a very creditable ninth. I didn’t give it a prayer (just like this year) and was eating humble pie during that week in Malmö. Anouk is 40 today.
