The Netherlands. Those perennial tryers. Forty years since their last win. I suppose at least they’ve had a win or two. Or four. Other countries have waited even longer [Spain] or yet to have a win after lots of tries [Portugal]. Almost 20 years ago – half way between their last win and now, if you will, giant Franklin ‘Brown’ Kroonenberg teamed up with the small Maxine (so good they named her once). The Dutch [lack of] success continued and they only finished seventh. Franklin is 54 today.
