To be fair, birthday girl Marian van de Wal was born in the Netherlands, but moved to the Catalan principality to run a hotel. I’ve been told that things were going well for her until people found out fan favourite Anabel Conde was on backing vocals. From then on, the backing singer got all the attention. Marian is 45 today.
