Do you think the re-introduction of the free language rule was a good idea? I have mixed feelings. It gives no country an advantage, but it stops showing off your own country’s culture. Our friends in Norway pre-empted the free language rule in 1998, when they picked a song in English. Naturally the red tape got hold of it and today’s birthday boy Lars A Fredriksen had to perform it in Norwegian. It was the only time he did. And I’ve know idea what the ‘A’ stands for – perhaps you could offer your suggestions. Lars is 44 today.
Gratulerer med dagen, Lars!
