The winner of the first semifinal of the Eurovision Song Contest 2008. By MILES. Seriously, they’re going to absolutely ace this now. Visually it’s a bizarre – yet no longer disturbing – piece of surrealist art, in audio it’s a really cracking good song. It’s a piece of work, this one.
And everyone will say “It was the washing line and the brides what won it”. And they will be – whilst not entirely wrong, they’ll certainly not be entirely right. Truly memorable in all the right ways.
In a caring and respectful way, obviously.
I’m signing off for the night now. Other bloggers may blog before we leave the building though. Roy and Franko turned up, you’ll be relieved to hear!
