Yes reports of COCKTAILS are very very true, which explains why it is – 10.50am local time and I am just getting up. I only had one PINT of a cocktail entitled “Pistolero”, and that’s how I feel right now, urgh!
We had dinner in a curry house with others of the great unwashed (Franko says reports of his demise are greatly exaggerated and has permitted me to put a photo up), then we met the leader of the resistance for Enchilada Montag and beer and cocktails, all very messy!
Talking of which, I just arose from the press centre beds, and got to the press centre wireless just in time to see ESCDaily have been doing some more of their fabulous work and permit me to see Bosnia AND Herzegovina, although frankly I wish they hadn’t. I don’t get the hype around this song. I Understand that it’s Dino Merlin, I understand he is a semi-professional Lookalike for Ken Bruce from Radio 2, I understand the song has a key change….. but what I don’t get is why on earth those backing singers have to do that stupid dancing-on-the-spot thing, then lots of choreographed waving, and that darn trumpeter makes the whole thing look messy. One can only hope that you lot understand why its “so good” and will let me know, cos as far as I can see and hear, he’s qualifying, but cant mop up that many votes from elsewhere!
I am prepared to be proved wrong, though.
