Mr Phil will be your host for the upcoming weekend of Eurovision Song Contest goodness, and you’ll get your usual round-up of results when the dust settles. But with the deadline for song selection inching close, it’s time for a Friday Extra from our results service.
San Marino
The juggernaught-lite that is Une Voce Per San Marino rumbles on with last night seeing the sixth semi-final. Ukrainian TESLENKO qualified to Saturday’s Grand Final – which is (confusing) called San Marino Song Contest. TESLENKO had initially been admitted into Vidbir’s wildcard vote, before deciding to withdraw. His song ‘Storm’ is available here. Grace George, Ilenya and Despaux qualify to tonight’s ‘second-chance’ round.
Croatia
Eight songs qualified from the first semi-final of Dora 2025 in a result decided by public votes. The ones to watch for Sunday’s Grand Final are: EoT, IVXN, Lelek, Magazin, Marko Tolja, Matt Shaft, Natalli, and Nipplepeople. There is a second semi-final tonight.
Sweden
The remaining six songs competing in Melodifestivalen 2025’s fifth heat have been released. You can listen to the new songs on YouTube.
In one snippet of extra extra news, SVT have announced a change to the scoring system for Melodifestivalen’s final qualification heat. In the second round, 800 points will be distributed between songs instead of the previously announced 1,000, meaning both rounds will now allocate an equal number of points. In theory, this removes any perceived advantage to Friday’s final semifinal qualifier.
