Sorry but we are going to have to leave early – remember it’s a Sunday tomorrow and we need to go and shop for Tomorrow – we also need to be bright and alert because today has not been great and we need to be in better form tomorrow. So, in briefs …

Ireland – Yes he can sing, and I think I have seen the light. It’s not the song that I object to – It’s him!! – There is just something about him that I don’t agree with – but I will give him this – the song is a grower and he simply performs the arse off it – though he does not need to kneel down when doing the second verse – but it could well qualify.

Cyprus – She looks, as an eminent Macedonian Journalist said – like a cabbage! – She is wearing a hideous green dress which needs seeing to be believed in itself and she tries to sing this song and give it what it deserves. However, I fear that she is trying too hard to sing the pants off a weak song and it ends up sounding vile and her high notes are at 150% when they would be good at 100%. I’m sure that the TV mix will sound better – but it needs resuscitation at this rate to qualify!

Monaco – Looks good on the monitors – looks bad on stage and sounds all wrong. I had this as a certain qualifier – but now I am not sure – not sure at all. Much as I love this song, I can’t defend songs that have no tune and a singer that is claiming to have mic problems but I fear that she is the one with the issue. Once again – it looks fantastic with her and the grass skirts and the like and the half naked boys. But this is struggling too.

Now, we are heading off to have some sort of a post-teenage life and have a meal and some drink – so unfortunately, the real news and blog sites will have to keep you entertained for the rest of this Cup-Final Saturday.

But fear not – after an early night – we’ll be back tomorrow … on full gas burners and back to a full team!
