Well after yesterday’s challenges both on the stage and at this keyboard, Czech Republic of Czechia are first onto the wide stage this morning and whoever posted the set design USB stick (yes they really do that) have clearly only just learned that “paint” is a thing as there is colour all over the place. It’s like a Dulux colour card set to music!
Musically, though, Gabriela has taken it up a notch and has seemingly made a boring old fashioned ballad quite powerful, thought that’s probably more to do with how the stage revolves around her rather than the musical quality i’m afraid. Arguably, though, if it was in the so-called weaker semi final it would probably be enough to go through, however Gabriela sells this song, however, it’s still not got enough OOmph (and not the fake pork products that Monty seems to be enjoying) to carry it out of the Semi in my opinion.
