It seems this winning the Eurovision Song Contest malarky isn’t the bad thing that its cracked up to be. The usually shy and reserved Czech Republic (no, not Czechia … that’s silly) has decided, after a few years of trying, to …well … try. Broadcaster CT has given us a national final.
The national final website, promotes an internet-only final, where you can vote by downloading an app. Users get to vote, giving their favourite song eight points, then six, four and so on down to a single point for the sixth-placed hopeful. The jury (who appear as literal shadowy figures on the website) get the same scoring system. Combine the two and you get a winner.
Those lovely Czechs have also given us a playlist on YouTube – g’wan you know you want to!
