What’s this? Another duo? You wait for weeks and then two come along at once. A double double as it were. But this one did marginally better.
Today’s birthday boy Michael Teschl paired up with Trine Jepsen in 1999 They weren’t an item, or related. They, we’re told, were just two pals. I guess if you are friends already then you don’t need to fake an on-screen attraction. It worked, as Michael and Trine finished eighth in the mammoth contest in Jerusalem. A decent score even though they finished third out of four Nordics. Denmark must be dreading the next contest in Israel. In 1979 they came 6th, 1999 8th and 2019 12th. Anyway, this tune, for me, is the best of the three from Denmark in that country.
Michael is 49 today.
