I am trying to be all kinds of negative on this song – It’s bland, boring, monotonic…. and yet, it ends up being typically Danish i.e plodding along going nowhere in particular but making you feel quite positive, which also sums up its chances to be honest.
The singer wears the same things she did in Aarhus or Herning or wherever the hell the DMPG was, but its a simple song with simple staging – it ends up being one of those that doesn’t need selling, a bit like John Lewis “Never knowingly undersold”.
Contender for big things in the final this, sadly!
I actually like this song. A lot, to be honest. In fact, I think it’s the best song this year. (Although it sounds a bit too much like Iceland’s song in Moscow, wasn’t that “Is it real”?)
