Do you remember the 1970s? If you’re unfamiliar with that decade, we’re hopefully educating you.
In 1975, we went to the Nordic part of our fair continent, after some four-piece popular beat combo won in the southern UK. Our friends in France were regular players in that decade, so eagerly looking for their fifth win. especially after withdrawing at short notice in 1974. They sent today’s birthday girl Nicole Rieu. While she finished, one of France’s worst results after 20 contests, she did do better than the previous three French entrants. And she started a mini resurgence that resulted in a French win two years later.
Nicole is 76 today.
