Amaury Vassili ISN’T going to be winning the Eurovision Song Contest and I am going to explain why.
It IS everything you thought it would be , an internationally renowned performer singing a faux opera aria at you for 3 minutes with a good voice and performance and stage craft.
What it is not is that thing called a Televoter sponge. I cant imagine for a second real people in the world ( and not fans) who are going to think that this is the best song on the night so will pick the phone up and vote for it. I can imagine the Juries would be “instructed” to vote for a song like this and I will conceed that it is going to be pretty high up there, but the lack of Televotes is going to present a problem for it winning I suspect.
