So who is going to represent Germany in the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest? It’s going to be the current Voice of Germany, Jamie-Lee Kriewitz.
Well, at last, one of the big 5/6/7 is going to do a proper national final. Taking place on the 25th February in Cologne, NDR announced in advance that it was be a 2 round affair, therefore taking it back to a more traditional National Final. Both rounds will be televote only and the top 3 got through to the super final.
I got to watch this one on the TV too! – A very safe final indeed in Cologne but, unlike the UK one, one that people watched and voted in too, over 1.1 million registered votes! – 9 decent songs…. plus Uncle Ralph who looked positively ill when he was on the television!
Meatloaf-light and two other songs got to the final, as you can see below and the current Voice of Germany won another talent contest to take her place in Stockholm. The song will be up presently, if I don’t fall foul of NDR’s hit squad, but see the video from youtube!!
