Performers of all ages have been seen on a Eurovision stage. It cam sometimes be a fun game to guess whether a performer looks their age or not.
Many performers try to look younger than they are. Some succeed. Some don’t. And then there are some performers who look older than they actually are. Today’s birthday boy Eyþór Ingi Gunnlaugsson may have led a hard life, but he was only 24 when he sang his charming little song in Malmö. Maybe it’s just me but I thought he was a year or two older. Maybe he’s led a hard life around his home municipality of Dalvíkurbyggð in Iceland’s north. Whatever he breezed through his semi-final and picked up a few votes here and there in the Grand Final. Perhaps singing in Icelandic isn’t so bad after all.
Eyþór Ingi is 30 today.
Til hamingju með afmælið, Eyþór Ingi!
