Belarus – She may be “big star” and she may point like a diva queen, AND she may wear pink ( she knows her audience) – BUT – Between the 3 of us, we think she over-eggs the pudding somewhat. She has certainly got a stage performance. But there is something about this that we have problems with. I dont think that the voters of Europe will go for it, principally because it is just… too… over the top!! – Vocally perfect, however, do not get your money on this one!
Netherlands – She had a Dream, to get out of the Semi Final without being slapped! – She may well do it on this evidence, she has talent in bucketloads and does not appear to be diva-esque on stage, smiling throughout. The lack of backing singers might be a hinderance as her face is projected onto big screens ( Narcisistic NOS) – her voice fills the stage, cos she is diminutive, this is all good stuff. Certain qualifier we think.
Iceland – Now this IS confidence for you!! – She struts on stage and dances and sings breathily to all of the tune. Choreography abounds in this one and, as you would expect, note perfect. Currently in her press conference which is packed out!! – This is a certain qualifier.
Belgium – Now, as you will have read – so far there is no bad song… THIS is the worst thing, however, that I have ever had the misfortune to see. Its out of tune, badly sung, He sings the same words “Ce Soir” 38738947 times – It’s Foi magia only several billion times worse!! (am I suggesting how bad this is…) – It’s so bad – we walked out to go to this press conference….. Europe may well do the same!!
