Do you ever wonder what happens to those singers that don’t make it to a Grand Final? There are a large number of acts who have nothing to do after Wednesday and Friday mornings.
The thing to do is for them to hang around. After all, they can sightsee and make the most of the free hospitality that the TV company and host city can muster. Of course, some cities have more to see than others. Or have better chances for free stuff. Today’s birthday girl Vilija Matačiūnaitė did her stuff in beer-friendly Copenhagen and almost made the final. It must have been the rather innovative tutu. But even if she didn’t make the final, she did win one award – the Barbara Dex Award.
