Treble are going nowhere. The performance is pretty much what you saw in the Dutch national final and the preview video, but they sound thin and look uninteresting and it’s really three minutes that seem to last as long as yesterday. There are going to be some very high scores and some VERY low scores in this semifinal, and Treble are headed for one of the latter.
On the other hand, I am now going to represent the truth that LT United are the winners of Eurovision – they are, they are! Loved it. The stage setting is very basic, just the six lads standing in a row on a flat stage, mostly plain coloured backdrops, and completely focusing the attention on the fact that they are the funniest thing in the whole of Athens. There are megaphones, and there is a big bald guy who dances like Alexei Sayle in the instrumental break. Even some people who claimed to get Alf Poier don’t get this, but they are wrong and me and Roy are right and anything you hear to the contrary should be treated with the contempt it deserves.
Vote, vote, vote, vote, vote for the winners – they are the winners of Eurovision – VOTE!
