Semi two and I’m already two songs behind! Aargh! More coffee!!

Good morning Europe. As you know we are struggling a little bit today due to excesses in the alcohol department and a later then needed night in the euroclub. We just couldn’t pull ourselves away. The fabulous Israeli boys and girls from Eurofalsh entertained us for HOURS last night. What a treat to have them here!

Another bit of a nightmare this morning with the transportation. Having just missed the shuttle yesterday we were bang on time today and on the correct side of the street outside the Radisson Scandinavium only told by the driver he was going the other away! Grrrr! The transportation desk seem as confused as us and apparently the times are changing. It could be a challenging week.

So to wrap up yesterday quickly otherwise I’ll be behind all day again. The Netherlands really came up for me with a very clever use of the stage with the road effect. I love a bit of country but we know it’s a genre that struggles at Eurovision. I think they will be rewarded by the juries for simplicity. One to watch I think. Montenegro as we know have employed a roller skater and the universal opinion is that it’s totally distracting from the song. I agree. Whether it’s chances are totally scuppered by this remains to be seen. Remember most people watching for the first time might not be bothered by an addition such as this. Finally Hungary and the dreamy Andras who is winning the press voting for semi one in the press centre. Its certainly accomplished and strong but I found it slightly disjointed yesterday with too many long shots losing the both singer and backing dancers on the vast stage. I’m not sure he actually needs to run. They can tell the story without that.

What did I say about being behind. I’m already two songs behind today. Sorry dear reader I’m a delicate rosé today!
