We often pick members of duos, as they we know they can provide a bit of variety. Today, we pick a member of a trio. Yes, when they perform you get three for the price of one. What could be better?
Today’s birthday girl Oddrun Valestrand joined up with her pals Lise Monika and Hanne Kristine as Charmed, in Stockholm’s largest globular building. Oddrun wears trousers and is the second of the trio to sing. They hadn’t travelled far so hopes were high from their sponsoring broadcaster. What could go wrong? Well, another Nordic nation only went and won instead, leaving Oddrun and friends in their wake. They did score steadily off their Nordic brethren and even got 10 points elsewhere. At the end of the show, they’d finished in the top-half of the leaderboard. It was a middling finish for Norway, but what might now be termed a “banger”. You be the judge.
Oddrun is 51 today.
