After a run of turgid songs it was a relief to watch Portugal just now. We saw her in the arena and the last run through on the screen. It’s a glorious burst of red and green. She has new dancers who we spied last night in the EuroClub, one of which is much improved. It’s three minutes of cheap fun and I adore it. It’s also old fashioned and slight but if juries and viewers are falling asleep after Belgium and Moldova then this could just about trouble the final. It would be a jollier thing for it as well.
