A quick Slovenia, then off for culture

I’m heading over to the Schonbrunn Palace this evening to watch Zubin Mehta conduct the Vienna Philharmonic in the open air. Should be culturetastic, but it does mean I need to rush off from the press centre to avoid the crush – so my Slovene opinions will be formed hastily and unfairly off one runthrough, then made into words of a slightly lower standard than usual.

It’s… slightly lacking in lustre and sparkle. But it might be in the same way that Satellite was slightly lacking in lustre and sparkle 5 years ago, and that did Lena no harm after all. Qualifying easily and should have no problem getting top 10, the song’s great, but secret ingredient X that turns it into an absolute winner… I reckon that’s missing. Sorry guys, can’t advise what it is. I have the Vienna Philharmonic to catch!

I leave you in Phil’s capable hands to do Poland, but that’s yer lot from me for the day. Toddles!
