So tonight is the night we get our first song for Europe 2025….. at the back end of 2024 and no, for once, it’s not Albania but Montenegro that is giving us our pre-christmas Eurovision frenzy.
As you have seen elsewhere no doubt, Montesong 2024, named after OnEurope’s very own Mr Moncrieff I am sure, has had sixteen songs selected for the televised final from a list of not very many, I think it was less than fifty in total. The Final is taking place on a Wednesday in November ( What were they thinking at RTCG?!), specifically the 27th and is slated to be a three hour spectacular!
As a side note they did a rather nice retrospective of Television in Montenegro at the start but it took 40 minutes to get to the first song and i for one was ready for it all to start. If you want to see the final it’s probably going to be here :
There was a mix of Televote and jury to decide the winner of this final and the results are as below.
