When Italy came back in 2011, our friends at the EBU were beside themselves. A massive massive announcement they said. Sure, it was good to get one of Europe’s most populous countries (and biggest markets) back after their 14 year break, but I wouldn’t have said it was massive. Still, they hit the ground running and had second and third places since. They have been, arguably, the best of the Big 5 since 2011. But back in the day they did come up with some fine fine songs, including this one. A male duo? A good song? Maybe the UK won’t do so badly this year after all.
