So who is representing Norway at Eurovision 2015?? Mørland & Deborah Scarlett, thats who. It surely couldn’t be 320 year old Bettan duetting with a 293 year old Tor Endresson could it? – That, though, was one of your eleven possibilities that Norwegian broadcaster NRK have unleashed onto the unsuspecting Norwegian public. I’m old, though, because its 18 years since she last rocked up at an International final…. jesus!
They, NRK, have dispensed with the Semi Finals and went for one Eleven song Final on the 14th March in Oslo Spektrum. They, NRK, are also reintroducing an ORCHESTRA in a National Final (Pointless considering the song will have to be re-orchestrated for no orchestra, but there you go), the 53 piece NRK Concert Orchestra will be fiddling and blowing their way through the final.
Televoting and Jury to decide the winner, as it always was, with 4 through to the gold final. The full result is listed below (before the broadcast has actually ended – hurrah) – I’ll put an Mp3 up as soon as I can but this is serious competition for the title, you mark my words. I don’t understand the song or why it won, but it has an ethereal quality that people seem to be liking this year ( a ballad in other words)…..
