Icelandic broadcaster Ríkisútvarpið (RÚV) is once again using Söngvakeppnin to select the Icelandic entry for the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest.
This year, each heat takes place in the Reykjavík RVK Studios, hosted by Björg Magnúsdóttir, Jón Jónsson and Ragnhildur Steinunn Jónsdóttir.
The public get to decide which two songs progress from each five-song Semi-Final, alongside a potential wildcard entry decided by Söngvakeppnin’s executive committee.
Tonight, Reykjavikurdaetur and Katla scored places in the 12 March final. The final will also include an act from last week. Amarosis picked up a wildcard and will sing again next week.
