Israel – THIS is how we do it!

Israel has become one of my faves this year. I don’t dare shout about it too much as it was last year too and look what happened to poor Mei Feingold. This is just pure fun from start to finish. Or at least from the bit where the intro finishes. Nadav is backed by three very fine dancers and a couple of very fine backing singers who do exactly what you want from an Israeli entry. It’s upbeat and happy and will surely brush any any heartache that young Nadav feels. He’s sporting some enormous winged golden boots which shouldn’t work but Nadav’s got the kind of attitude that could see him get away with just about anything. It finishes with the whole ensemble coming centre stage in trademark Israeli style before a cheeky little contemporary ending with a turn to overhead camera and – what else? – a selfie! Perfect. And the gayest three minutes you’ll see this year. This is how we do it!
