Yes Good evening Europe! Welcome once again to our irreverent look at all things Euro. There’ll be 5 of us this year. Count them! And we’ll all be staying in a one bedroom flat that’s probably about big enough for one of us. Dear Catherine is the only one of us who is slight of build. The other four of us are middle-aged slightly rotund males who are probably going to know more about each other’s personal habits by May 30th than it’s healthy to know!
As usual we’ll be drinking copious amounts of alcohol to help us through the proceedings (well me, Catherine and possibly Phil will). We’ll also refuse to follow convention and good taste when giving our verdicts on this year’s Euro ditties. If you’re easily offended, look away now and come back on the 30th.
Franko With The Stars has already begun as I tracked down some of our unsuspecting and not too hopeful vocalists in London last weekend.
Mr Deller, Mr Colclough and I fly Oslo ways on May 14th (providing that pesky volcano doesn’t kick up a stink again), whilst the Roys follow on a day later.
Rehearsals begin in earnest on May 16th.
It wouldn’t be as much fun without you.
