Well what did you expect me to call it? 😉
I’ve tried to silence Corrine Hermes in this one and I think i’ve done that so we should be ok… Though this does contain Tora Zo and a diatribe about Kate O’Mara and a cross channel ferry so… listen at your own risk.
Rated PG – but no parent would ever choose to let you listen to this!

What you didn’t say about this Kdam is thatnit was all.ore-recorded. No singing live in the 1986 Israeli Kdam.
In such a podcast you always talk about the top 3 of each national final, but sometimes you elaborate about songs which finished outside the top 3.
The 1986 Israeli Kdam sould have been such a case, because the story of this Kdam is the song finished in 4th place.
Performing as song number 7, with a yellow jacket, was Rita, with the song “Shvil Habricha”(The Path of Escap).
Everybody was talking about her after her performance in that Kdam. This was her breakthrough performance. A very dramatic performance with her sleeve falling regularly from her shoulder, exposing a bare shoulder.
She became an instance success and she is up till today, one of the most successful singers in Israel.
She was singing a song that was very current and in line of the music of the 1980’s.
That was the song that Israel should have sent.
In 1990 she traveled to Zagreb and represented Israel in Eurovision of that year.
Everything you say about the Israeli representative in 1986 is spot on.
One of the worst songs Israel have sent to Eurovision.
The reason it won the Kdam is because its lyrics are about the hope for peace and Israeli people can be abit suckered for suck lyrics.

Apologies but in the video I added to my previous message there is no synchronisation between sound and picture.
