Who’s going to represent Russia at the 2016 Eurovision Song Contest? – Well it was revealed at the Russian Music Awards that their current “singer of the year”, Sergey Lazarev, is going to be the one to carry the hopes of a nation.
The 32 year old Russian is very popular in his home country by winning all sorts of awards, starting in the group Smash!, he beat Dima Bilan to be Best Male Singer in 2006 (who got his revenge in the 2008 Russian national Final). He’s also come 2nd in Dancing on Ice and is an all around entertainer, singer AND Dancer.
You can listen to the song below in our Eurovision Streaming service – Should you wish to download it – you can from here (By Right Clicking and pressing Save As)
The question remains, though, because he is Russian how much “hate” will he engender but at least by announcing early RTR may well have cut that off.
