You probably paid special attention to the first Super Saturday of the 2017 Eurovision season. Did you curse when the Spanish winner was announced? Did you swoon when they revealed the winner of Sanremo? Did you even care about some show taking place in Sweden? Well the Facebookosphere and Twittersphere were alight last night.
What we need is some quiet reflection, and who better to give us that than a country who are taking another year out of proceedings? I’m talking about Turkey, as it’s the birthday of oleophile (Ayşe) Ajda Pekkan. Had she been around today, ‘Petr oil’ would have been a hit. Sadly she only finished 15th of 19.
Ajda is 71 today.
