Manchego. You thought we’d picked a grand dame yesterday. Well, today we’ve picked an even grander dame. Singing for a Grand Duchy. As you’ll know, we’ve not seen Luxembourg participate since 1993, so this song might be before some of you were even born.
It might be a song from before when everyone who reads this was born. It’s in marvellous black & white and came from a TV studio in Hilversum. Birthday girl Solange Berry was actually Belgian, but finished some placed behind her country of birth. And Switzerland liked her.
Solange is 85 today.
