I remember the contest in 2000 as if it were yesterday. Several countries had high hopes – Estonia, Latvia, Russia, even Macedonia! As we all know, those pesky Olsen Brothers stole the show with a brilliant winner that saw lots of people win lots of money. Good on them.
One country that was there was the sunny islands of Malta. Birthday girl Claudette Pace had a team of Swedish backing singers. She had once had a Swedish boyfriend who apparently loved the cold. Unlike Ms Pace.
Claudette is 49 today.
