Julie Wright – she of Euronet/DotEurovision/ESCNation fame – told me weeks ago that this was going to do well, and I dismissed her shenanigans as just “Julie being Julie”.
I officially apologise!
Aysel and Arash are going to do very well indeed – it has all the ingredients of a good Eurovision song – good tune, slightly dodgy lyric, lots of dancing, very clappable middle eight and more importantly it looks good on stage on the TVs here. non of your shouty nonsense here, oh dear me no, and the stage looks very orange and it has a lot of punch to it without being over silly, which it could have been. The two singers work very well together and, unlike some duets we have seen, they work well together and are not trying to be bigger than each other.
