Good morning On Europeans. It’s safe to say we sampled the nightlife last night, and we sampled it well. I am struggling a little this morning, but not, of course, so you’d notice. We’re professionals, Joe public never clocks a darn thing. I might be given to the occasional uuffff today though. Thank goodness the medium of text can’t convey my audible whimpering. I think it may have been the liquorice shot of Fisherman’s Friend that sent me over the edge. The things we do to blend in with the locals.
I’m somewhat disappointed to report that the lovely Andras cancelled his appearance at the EuroClub last night, which is the only reason I went, you understand. I was bereft. In fact so bereft that I clearly sought solace in a (large) beer glass. I don’t know why Andras stood me up the way he so cruelly did, but he’s only got one more chance to get me, because Patrick Twin Twin will be around tomorrow and Andras may find he’s missed his moment.
So we’re back to the Press Centre today for the entirety of the second semi final. I’m looking forward most of all to seeing Israel & Austria. Israel has probably become my second favourite after France this year and I believe we will get not one, but two struts. Fierce.
