Yesterday at the Games – Apologies first

Prediction

Yes, that cheeky Ewan scamp from ESCInsight drafted me in, at no notice I hasten to add, to do his alternative commentary for the 2nd Semi Final. Download it from www.escinsight.com if you need to hear how a shit scared webmaster sounds – go on, you know you want to!

Anyway this meant that the live blog was cancelled at short notice, sorry about that, but that Riigi Scamp has done a what was hot and not for last night. I know you can’t wait!!

  • Malta – Great Vocals and good package
  • Israel – Hitting all the right notes in the right order
  • Norway – Large cheer – looks good and straight through.
  • Georgia – too complicated, sung well but too hard for this bit.
  • Poland – Her mother gave her ample, she shakes it good – yum 😉
  • Austria – looks good – straight through.
  • Lithuania – looks like a shuttlecock but sings it nicely. should be through
  • Finland – If this doesn’t get through i’ll eat Phil’s muffins. Looked really good but needs to open his eyes!!!
  • Ireland – Hmmmm, difficult if she still doesn’t look at the camera – If she does then it’s in with a chance for 10th but its tough.
  • Belarus – Infectious as the Common Cold – Should do well – Teo is cheeky enough.
  • FYR Macedonia – Shouty and loud and a crowd pleaser but not televoter friendly.
  • Switzerland – Sailing through – Engaging and through.
  • Greece – Eurovision in a bottle, This will be shown on Clip shows for years but it’s more than a one trick pony. Best Balkan? (Balkan, Balkan…)
  • Slovenia – Missed a trick and will miss the boat here.
  • Romania – OH MY GOD IT’S AWFUL, but all it needs is a kitchen sink!!

10 to Qualify from Phil? – Malta, Norway, Poland, Austria, Finland, Lithuania, Belarus, Switzerland, Greece, Romania

Today, we’re off to Tivoli (hurrah)

A very impressive nine for you there. I got eight. (Real bets, with real money!) You and I both saw through Israel’s superficial charms, and guess you thought, like I did, that the UK and Ireland would be ‘to blame’ for Lithuania getting through (again)? Glad to be wrong on that one.
